MPD, Inc. was established in 1987 and is headquartered in Owensboro, Kentucky. It consists of five wholly owned subsidiaries. These include MPD Components, Inc.,  MPH Industries, Inc., Lion Laboratories Limited, CMI, Inc. and MPD (Singapore) PTE LTD. MPD, Inc. employs over 320 employees worldwide, all committed to producing the highest quality products for their customers.

MPD's customers include U.S. and foreign military services and their contractors, avionics manufacturers, law enforcement organizations, industrial companies and commercial concerns. Approximately three-quarters of the company's sales are derived from a diverse mix of federal, state, local and foreign government purchases.
